Pamela Day is a Managing Member for Crimson Fund Advisors, LLC and a founder of Crimson Holdings, a real estate development and investment firm. She has managed the firm's investments and investment strategy since its inception in 2002. Crimson has successfully raised three over-subscribed, closed-end funds whose average returns net of all fees since inception are 30%. Crimson has never had a negative return on a project.
Ms. Day built a background in real estate and finance as an investment banker with several top-tier Wall Street firms where she performed valuation and underwriting work for REITs and homebuilders during the REIT boom of the early 1990's. As a Senior Associate at BancBoston Robertson Stephens, she specialized in valuation work for private REIT portfolio acquisitions, and at UBS PaineWebber, she valued and took public some of the largest REITs in existence today. During this period, Ms. Day capitalized billions of dollars of public and private real estate transactions and underwrote over 30 new equity issues for REITs.
Ms. Day led a team within the Corporate Representation group at Jones Lang LaSalle where she analyzed and negotiated lease agreements and consulted to large organizations on their real estate requirements. Her experience at JLL included assignments dealing with business location advisory, location consolidations, evaluation of long term financing options, and real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
Previously, Ms. Day founded and served as CEO and Chairman of Blazent Corp, an enterprise software company backed by such top-tier investors as Benchmark Capital and Bain Capital. Blazent now has offices in the Bay Area, Denver, Dallas, Minneapolis, Boston and New York. During her tenure as CEO, Ms. Day was awarded the Trailblazer Award by the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs as one of the only female founders able to raise significant funds during 2001-2002. Since 1999, Ms. Day has raised over $140 MM in private equity funds.
Ms. Day holds a BA in Economics from The University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is SEC series 7 and 63 licensed and is a licensed California Real Estate Broker. She has been a featured business commentator on NBC's Today Show, CNBC's Power Lunch, ABC's The View, and Fox News.
John W. Conomos, is a Managing Member for Crimson Fund Advisors, LLC and founder of Crimson Holdings, a real estate development and investment firm. Mr. Conomos has a strong background in construction management, complex deal structuring, sourcing and procurement. Mr. Conomos has managed the firm's strategy deployment since its inception in 2002 as well as numerous independent investments since 1999.
Through his seven years of construction work Mr. Conomos has successfully assembled a strong team of renovation and construction specialists in every specialization. The construction team that Mr. Conomos brings to the project is extremely talented, well-regarded and entrepreneurial.
Mr. Conomos has extensive experience as a project manager for large residential single and multi-family projects, coordinating with project professionals on all issues, managing the construction schedule and budget, and overseeing the overall execution and quality of a large project. He also has experience supervising all on-site construction, including scheduling subcontractors, troubleshooting and documenting changes in scope and discrepancies between architectural drawings and the field, inspecting all work during construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, implementing and monitoring job site safety practices, analyzing and implementing job site protection, and directly supervising in house employees and subcontractors.
Mr. Conomos has been a licensed contractor for the last seven years and has completed over twenty major residential construction projects, including three multi family developments, in the Bay Area.
Mr. Conomos began his career at Andersen Consulting as a Business Process Consultant, working on projects for Fortune 500 companies within the materials management practice. His work included strategic sourcing and best practices applications in order to gain efficiencies in materials management.
Mr. Conomos holds a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in German from Santa Clara University. He holds a B-Class Contractor License (#850101) with the State of California, which allows him to supervise the construction of any type of structure.
